Juan Lopez studies how environments, information, and experiences affect people, then carries that understanding into clearer, more humane systems.
A shared foundation
Behavior analysis is the primary lens through which I approach my work. It brings careful observation, consistent measurement, individual context, and socially meaningful outcomes into the same conversation. Rather than beginning with assumptions, I try to understand the conditions surrounding a person, a task, or a system before deciding what should change.
My work in research, web development, e-commerce, and information design grows from that foundation. I build client websites with SitePad and WordPress, develop Shopify themes, and use Astro to create focused, lightweight websites. By shaping environments so that information is clearer, actions are easier to understand, and systems better support the people who use them.
Across independent client projects, I have managed the full path from early strategy to launch. My work has included information architecture, visual design, development, responsive implementation, content structure, forms, business email, payment systems, and domain configuration. Each part of that process is guided by the same goal: create something practical without losing sight of the person on the other side of the screen.
I am completing two bachelor’s degrees at Florida International University: Psychology on the Applied Behavior Analysis track, and Natural and Applied Sciences. My current credentials include Registered Behavior Technician certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and Social and Behavioral Human Research training through the CITI Program. I also hold certifications in food safety management and agricultural studies, reflecting a broader foundation in responsible practice, applied science, and human-centered work.
Research
I designed my Fall 2025 AI Misattribution study to examine how expectations about a source shape social evaluation. Using an online experiment, Qualtrics, and IBM SPSS, I kept the question focused, the conditions controlled, and the conclusions grounded in what the data could support.
Client systems
I build websites for service businesses using SitePad, WordPress, and Astro, depending on what the project requires. My work can include information structure, responsive design, forms, business email, payments, domain configuration, content organization, and the final details needed to bring a complete website online.
Commerce
Through World Cup Items and VX Nexus, I have developed Shopify themes, shaped visual direction, organized merchandising, configured commerce systems, and refined each storefront across screen sizes. I approach e-commerce as an environment that should make products easier to understand, compare, and act on without adding unnecessary pressure.
Real-world experience
Working as a valet attendant has placed me in environments where trust, timing, communication, and attention matter immediately. Every shift requires me to observe what is happening, respond to changing conditions, and help people move through an experience with less uncertainty.
Observation
A busy entrance changes from one moment to the next. I pay attention to traffic, guest behavior, available space, team movement, and the small cues that signal what may be needed next. The work has taught me to look carefully before acting.
Trust
People hand me something valuable and expect it to be handled with care. I build that trust through clear communication, consistency, attention to detail, and respect for each person’s circumstances.
Adaptation
Arrivals overlap, priorities shift, and unexpected problems appear quickly. I have learned to remain composed, coordinate with others, and adjust to changing conditions without losing sight of the person waiting in front of me.
